Pre-Historic Cup Project

Pre-Historic Cup Project

Here is the Pre-Historic cup with a small cover for it. It was my first clay project so I was testing out a few things and getting used to the clay. There are some things I like and don't like about the finished product. One thing I don't like is that I didn't glaze the inside nor the S-shaped detail enough so it's a very thin glaze. Another one is that the handle on the cover is too loose so sometimes the weight shifts and when you hold it by the handle, it leans to one side. I also feel like I could've done better with the etches on the outside of it. Some things I do like is the feet on the bottom of the cup. I also like that I made a cover for it which was not necessary for the project. I also like the look of the iron oxide on the top cover which brings out all of the holes.

Here is the project in the making!
