Principles and Elements of Art through Photography
- Lines = Self explanatory, lots of parallel lines, with the gaps in-between the wood.
- Shape = Shapes that give objects their definition, just like the car.
- Form = A three dimensional figure, which in this case is the power line pole.
- Space = The space or distance between objects, so the bird from the tree.
- Color = Draws the eyes and can invoke mood or emotion, which is the octopus around lots of color
- Value = Helps give depth using light and dark, with the photo of the school building, shows the corner and how big it is.
- Texture = Surface quality of objects, so that the tree looks visibly rough.

- Balance = Shows symmetry/asymmetry, in this case the two tennis fields are symmetric
- Harmony = the balance between varsity and unity, so the backpacks are different but still all backpacks.
- Rhythm = Repetition of lines, shapes, figures, in this case the plants are repeating horizontally.
- Movement = Shows the impression of action, in this case the person jumping.
- Emphasis = Area that draws attention and a focal point, in this case the pine needles against the tennis red floor.
- Contrast = arrangement of opposite
- Variety = Use of dissimilar elements, in this case the pebble cement and normal cement.
- Unity = Creates a sense of order, which shows the electrical pipes in unison together.
- Proportion = Objects in distance get smaller, so the tennis fields get smaller the farther they are.
